What are core values? Core values are the building blocks that make up a company. Integral to company identity; they support the business vision, guide its goals, and shape the company culture.
It can be easy to only focus on the technical capabilities i.e. what a company can actually do. But the reason why they do it is equally, if not more so, important to establish and nourish. These core values are what drive decisions and shape the way a company works.
How did Bryburn’s core values evolve?
With a long history in the building industry behind us, to focus on our development and construction experience and expertise would be a natural inclination. However, to do so would not reflect our complete company identity and offering. It is important to us that we are more than ‘just builders’. In addition to our work in development and construction, we are proud of our specialism in providing disability solutions, along with design services and small works and maintenance, often carried out in conjunction with this.
We feel our core values are reflected in the work that we do and the way that we approach it:

This is particularly invaluable in our work relating to disability solutions where we are working on the behalf of vulnerable individuals. We know it is important that we communicate openly, regularly and sensitively with clients, their families and carers.

We listen to each of our clients and work hard to meet their needs. We aim to communicate clearly to ensure a full understanding of any specific needs or issues that have to be met. Whether it’s as simple as wanting to preserve a period fireplace or as complex as creating full up and down wheelchair access in a small mid-terrace, we listen, make sure we understand and then deliver.
We can find, acquire, finance, design, construct, dispose or maintain. We offer a broad range of services, each available to be undertaken individually, or we can offer a full turnkey solution. We will adapt and shape our offering depending on what the client needs.
